Alistair  has worked in and around YMCA’s movement for 22 years. He started his career as Youth Worker, Development Manger and CEO of a local YMCA in Scotland.

After 10 years he moved to a Tutor position with YMCA George Williams College teaching on Youth Work and Social Pedagogy Degree Courses and developing workplace and learning collaborations. He has spent 10 years as a local politician learning about politics, power and policy on a local and national level.

Internationally he has taught in a maximum security prison in Australia and designed a national training program for school principals. He now heads up Esher house work in the UK and Europe.
